About the role

The Associate Dean Research provides leadership to the Faculty on the research portfolio and higher degree research training profile of the Faculty, and will develop and promote the Faculty’s research activities to meet the goals of the UNE Research Plan. The position supports the Dean in their accountabilities as they relate to research and research training.

Skills & Experience

You will have outstanding academic leadership skills, and experience in driving and achieving strategic outcomes of research, underpinned by significant experience in higher education, significantly contributing to the positive reputation of the Faculty and the University in line with strategic objectives. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and people management skills, including high level consultative and negotiation skills across disciplines are essential. Associate Dean’s role requires demonstrated capacity and willingness to work constructively and collegially in support of the strategic and operational direction of the Faculty and University.
