Salary:     £29,799 to £38,833 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

Applications are invited for this post based at the Ann Craft Trust, a registered national charity committed to safeguarding disabled children and adults at risk from abuse.

This exciting post has been funded by Sport England in recognition of the importance of safeguarding adults in sport to ensure that everyone has the opportunity to participate in sport and activity. It offers an opportunity to influence future planning and delivery of safeguarding advice and support to the sport and recreation sector nationally. The successful candidate will be a member of the Safeguarding Adults in Sport team here at the Ann Craft Trust and have responsibility for reviewing and developing services in relation to adults at risk in sport and for identifying, planning and implementing new initiatives in line with current practice. The person appointed will assist in developing and delivering a training strategy, offer advice and information to sport and recreation organisations and represent the sector at key consultations nationally.

Candidates should have a social work or other relevant qualification and/or at least four years vocational experience. They should have good communication and organisational skills as well as experience of influencing strategic partners and stakeholders. A proven track record of working with adults at risk and up to date knowledge of abuse and safeguarding issues is required. A knowledge of the sport and activity sector would be desirable.

This is a full time, fixed term post available immediately and will be offered until 31 March 2019. The post is open to a job share.
