We are seeking an experienced professional to take up the role of Procurement Manager on a fixed term contract, to continue the work on embedding a professional procurement culture throughout the University and ensure that all purchasing delivers optimum value for money, is compliant with EU/UK legislation and follows best practice.
Successful applicants will hold the CIPS qualification and be educated to degree level or equivalent, with experience in a senior procurement role in an HE or similar environment. They will have a track record of leading on robust tendering and contract management processes, experience of P2P systems, have an in-depth knowledge of procurement legislation and the drive to ensure the University delivers cost efficiencies.
The person will be an excellent communicator with demonstrable ability to effect change through collaboration, negotiation, and problem solving.
