Financial Services at UNSW Canberra manages all aspects of financial services and financial processing for UNSW Canberra including budgeting, reporting, procurement, accounts payable and accounts receivable.

About the role

  • Level 10 $128,091 Plus (17% superannuation)

About the successful applicant

The Finance Business Partner, leveraging financeial expertise, acts as a financial and strategic advisor and drive the implementation of both University and UNSW Canberra strategic initiatives.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Lead and mentor staff
  • Conduct financial modeling and analysis
  • Build trusted and collaborative relationships with stakeholders
  • Provide strategic financial advice 
  • Provide training and support to staff throughout the Faculty/Division to ensure financial processes and budgeting responsibiites are understood.

About the successful applicant

We expect the preferred candidate to have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification and CA or CPA qualification (or equivalent), and extensice relevant professioal sector experience..
  • Demonstrated experience in management reporting, budgeting and forecasting.
  • Preven experience in contract management and liasing with a mojor government stakeholder.
  • Demonstrated lateral thinking, planning and organisational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage and motivate staff to allow staff to maximise their full potential.
