The University of Canberra is ranked among the top 100 young universities in the world.

Building upon a strong foundation and impressive successes over the last decade, the University is launching the next phase of its audacious journey. As outlined in its new Strategic Plan, Distinctive by Design 2018-2022, it aims to be amongst Australia's most innovative tertiary institutions, whilst continuing its ascent in world rankings, and extending its regional, national and international reach.

With a commitment to work-integrated learning, high-impact research, indigenous engagement and the transformation of the campus into an integrated learning community, the University of Canberra will stand out as a genuine beacon of equity, diversity, inclusion and access that makes a difference to the world and contributes to the creation of just, prosperous, healthy and sustainable communities.

At this opportune moment the University seeks an outstanding Executive Dean to join its leadership team. Motivated by a passion to drive excellence in education, research and engagement, the Executive Dean will bring strategic, academic, research and operational leadership in a complex stakeholder environment.

With a relevant track record of academic excellence, the Executive Dean will develop and drive innovative strategies and initiatives that will deliver successful outcomes and enhance the reputation of their Faculty and the University. In doing so they will have unique initiatives to leverage, such as the new Health Precinct (including the soon-to-be-open UC Public Hospital), Australia’s leading Sport and Exercise offering, and interdisciplinary synergies that include the internationally recognised Institute of Applied Ecology, Health Research Institute and the Human-Centred Computing Laboratory.
