Research Technician in the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) within the Nutrition Theme, at the University of Bristol. The post will be based in the IGF(Insulin-like Growth Factor) Metabolic and Endocrinology Group (IMEG) at Southmead Hospital.
We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced research technician to assist the Head of Group, (Professor of Clinical Sciences) in research activities by providing technical and administrative support and by undertaking and managing radioactive and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISAs) in order to support projects within the nutrition theme of the NIHR Bristol BRC.
The researcher should have some experience in relevant scientific techniques - in particular technical expertise in radioactive immunoassays and ELISAs, and pathological specimen preparation. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability and confidence to work independently in a conscientious, logical and efficient manner under one’s own initiative are essential.
The post is a part-time post; 17.5 hours per week - job share.
