Associate Professor in Nursing/Director of Undergraduate Nursing Education

We are seeking to enhance the College's ability to support continued progress in health and medical research and training of health professionals through appointment of an outstanding academic leader in the School of Health Sciences.
The Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor in Nursing, and Director of Undergraduate Nursing Education will:
- Manage and coordinate the Bachelor of Nursing course with responsibility for overseeing professional accreditation compliance and the development of high quality and contemporary curricula
- Undertake high quality research of national and/or international standing
- Make a substantial and sustained contribution to the university in achieving its strategic objectives and fulfilling its operational responsibilities as they relate to undergraduate nursing
- Undertake scholarly undergraduate teaching of an exemplary quality and provide leadership and coordination of the Bachelor of Nursing.
Applicants will hold a registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, along with a PhD in a relevant health discipline or Master of Nursing qualification. Demonstrated specialist clinical knowledge of contemporary nursing theory and practice, and the capacity to translate this to the Bachelor of Nursing program.
Appointment to Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor will be at a Level C or D continuing (tenured) role with the requirement that the appointee fulfil the leadership role of Director for a period of five years' renewable. This position will be based in Launceston or Hobart. Appointment will be at Academic Level C or D and will have a total remuneration package of up to $172,089 comprising a base salary within the range of $112,184 to $147,085 plus 17% superannuation. An attractive relocation package may also be negotiated with the successful applicant.
