The Education Portfolio is headed by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Education and Vice President who leads the planning and implementation of the University's strategies related to RMIT's academic programs and the RMIT student experience. The Portfolio is responsible for services to support the quality of RMIT programs, including the professional development of academic staff, continuous improvement of the student experience, learning and teaching outcomes and the management of learning and research information sources.

The Academic Registrar's Group (ARG) is responsible for the administrative, policy and governance activities of the University which relate to the student lifecycle. The ARG operating environment is highly complex; the University has more than 80,000 students enrolled in both vocational and higher education programs, at campuses in Melbourne, Europe and Vietnam, and at several offshore locations in conjunction with educational and industry partners.

The Role and Your Responsibilities

The Senior Business Analyst is responsible for the analysis and design/redesign of the Academic Registrar Group's (ARG) student administration processes with a particular focus on solutions that are systematic in nature. This includes analysing data, documenting business requirements, analysing gaps and working collaboratively with stakeholders and system developers to implement process change. This role is pivotal in enabling the continued development of the ARG projects activities and objectives.

Skills & Experience Required

You will have high-level interpersonal, negotiation and facilitation skills within a complex environment and will have demonstrated experience in facilitating business process definition workshops with key stakeholders. You will possess highly developed written skills and experience in production of comprehensive recommendations, project and implementation plans, briefs and reports. Your understanding and application of business process methodology and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team will be essential to your success in this role. Furthermore, your professional judgement to determine the application or adaptation of policies, practices and systems that impact other areas of the organisation will be crucial to your success in this role.
