This newly established position has been named in honour of one of Australia’s most esteemed business leaders, Malcolm Broomhead, in recognition of his generous contribution to the UQ Business School. The role’s primary purpose will be to provide leadership in the further development of the School’s academic and research programs, to engage in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching and supervision, and conduct high quality research. This exciting Chair in Finance role will contribute significantly to the Business School’s strategic goals as well as the individual’s own discipline.
The successful candidate will be an emerging or established international research leader with teaching expertise and demonstrated industry engagement experience. Publishing in Tier 1 journals should be complemented by the ability to lead effective teams and actively mentor and support staff and Research Higher Degree students. Highly developed communication and influencing skills, and an interest and ability to foster the interests of the School while enhancing linkages with external stakeholders will be essential.
