The City Law School is the first in London and the only in the University of London to educate students and practitioners at all stages of legal education. It has a research pedigree dating back over 100 years. The School made significant advances in research and education as City implemented its Strategic Plan 2012 to 2016. It now seeks to build upon that success to become one of the United Kingdom’s leading law schools. This ambition will be enabled by a new organisational structure which will ensure the School has the agility to take advantage of a new regulatory landscape for legal education. The School offers a complete portfolio of legal education and training, from undergraduate to postgraduate, including the Bar Professional Training Course and the Legal Practice Course; and post-qualification Continuing Professional Development.
The City Law School seeks to appoint an outstanding law academic to contribute to the delivery of its high quality undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, and to engage in world-leading and internationally excellent research.
The successful candidate will be an academic whose education provision is high quality, professionally relevant and well-informed by research. He or she will have published or be developing research of world-leading or internationally excellent quality to contribute to City’s Research Excellence Framework submission; and will be an active contributor to the wider academic community.
