The Global Development Portfolio is responsible for making RMIT genuinely global in reputation, operations and outlook. Under the leadership of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Global Development) and Vice President, the portfolio:
- identifies, reviews and harnesses opportunities to further enhance RMIT's global model,
- nurtures RMIT alumni and stewards RMIT's philanthropic activity,
- leads and coordinates RMIT's global education partnerships,
- manages global experience opportunities for RMIT students, staff and alumni.
In addition, it connects and coordinates RMIT's presences throughout the world including RMIT entities in Australia, Vietnam and Europe (Spain) and representative offices in other countries.
The Role & Your Responsibilities
The Advisor, Global Intelligence and Performance undertakes projects to support the advancement of the RMIT Group's priorities across its global activities. The role provides advice, research and management information, relevant to RMIT's international activity, and produces written reports and briefings. The position will contribute to the design, implementation and further development of systems and processes to improve the coordination of RMIT's global activities and support implementation and monitoring of the key plans such as the International Plan, Focus Area plan and portfolio plan.
Skills & Experience Required
As the successful candidate you will demonstrate planning and project management skills and expertise. You will also have strong conceptual, analytical and research skills with a high level of attention to detail and strong ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure. Highly developed interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, with an emphasis on high level written reports will be imperative to your success in this role. Professional experience in a tertiary education environment, particularly in relation to offshore activity, would be highly advantageous.
