This is an exciting opportunity to carry out industry-relevant research on leading-edge analysis, modelling and control techniques for systems characterised by a high complexity and large quantities of data.
The ESIF System Analytics for Innovation project is aimed at extracting knowledge from huge amounts of interconnected, multi-scale and multivariate data, relating this to a fundamental understanding of the underlying complex systems that generate the data, and exploiting this through visualisation, optimisation, and control techniques that maximise value for users interacting with the system.

The appointee must hold a PhD in one of the relevant areas of expertise, or have made substantial progress towards one, and also have experience of carrying out research in one or more of the relevant areas of expertise.
