About the position

The Faculty of Health Sciences and Medicine invites applications from qualified academics interested in joining our team commencing January 2018.

Bond University is home to a Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science, Masters of Sports Science (Coursework), and research higher degrees through a Masters of Science (Research) and PhD programs. The programs have strong formal and informal links with the AIS, QAS, Australian Rugby, Gold Coast Suns AFL and a number of state and national sporting organisations. Importantly, these programs are strongly linked in both teaching and research with Bond Sport (Rugby and AFL - Men and Women), Swimming, Netball and Triathlon as well as the Bond Institute of Health and Sport High Performance Training Centre. This world-class training facility includes 8 lifting platforms, 25m heated swimming pool, hot-cold plunge pools, spa, walk-through recovery pool, large altitude chamber, sauna and steam room.

Initially the appointment will be for a fixed-term of one year, with the possibility of an extension subject to curriculum renewal within both the Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science and Masters of Sports Science (Coursework) programs.

The successful applicant will possess a PhD and significant industry experience in a relevant field or discipline. Exceptions to degree requirements may be made for individuals with extraordinary professional competence, and industry or clinical skills experience.

Initiative, motivation and enthusiasm for supporting and advancing both learning and teaching and research is essential as is demonstrated experience in coordinating and delivering teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students and the development of higher education teaching materials
