Job Description

As a member of the registrar's leadership team, participate in planning and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the Office of the Registrar to ensure that quality services are provided to meet student and other stakeholder needs and support college priorities.

Provide daily management of academic records operations, including all record- related processing, supervision of staff and student employees, and staff training and development. Act as Registrars Office liaison to the National Student Clearinghouse and Parchment. Assist Enrollment Services Operation staff responsible for the Charge/Credit Generator to ensure proper charging and withdrawal processing of all students; help resolve issues and review and maintain related policies.

Manage registration, grading, reporting and records maintenance for the Charles River Campus, as well as for off-campus and non-standard programs. Advise University staff on Family Educational Rights and Privacy (FERPA) policy and provide FERPA training.

In conjunction with programming staff of Enrollment Services Operations, test changes to mainframe online functions and production jobs for the Office of the University Registrar. Collaborate on tasks related to NCAA student athlete certification and develop a comprehensive knowledge of NCAA and Big Ten rules and regulations.

Required Skills

Bachelors degree and at least three years of experience in higher education. Masters degree preferred. Demonstrated understanding of the application of technology in delivering student services and information in an efficient and secure manner. Excellent writing, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are essential. Must have ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adhere to deadlines. Ability to provide supportive guidance for a wide range of student issues and concerns.
