The Role & Your Responsibilities
You will plan, develop and engage in high quality research projects that are aligned with the Blockchain Innovation Hub's research strategy. You will make independent and original contributions to research acknowledged at a national level including: developing highly successful research teams, managing research projects and programs within timelines and budget and ensuring compliance with quality and reporting requirements. You will regularly publish research results in high quality outlets as lead author and in collaboration with other researchers.
Embedding your research expertise into the life of the School through the development of high-quality, productivity-driven research networks across RMIT and with local and national, internal and external partners. You will be expected to engage in high quality research projects and to produce high quality outputs.
Skills & Experience Required
The position is open to people who have completed a PhD and who do not currently hold a continuing academic appointment with RMIT University. You will have prior high quality research in social science areas related to, or which can be applied to, blockchain. These can include economics, econometrics, political-economy, law, organization and business studies, sociology, media and communications, among others.
You will have a track record and recognition for quality research outputs which will contribute to existing high performing RMIT research teams evidenced by publications and development of new research initiatives. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will be instrumental in building effective networks with higher degree by research candidates, staff and industry.
