The Prince of Wales Clinical School (POWCS) delivers high quality medical education to both undergraduate and postgraduate students, as well as elective students. The school has more than 300 undergraduate and 70 postgraduate students across the programs of Medicine and Surgery and over 120 staff members located at the Prince of Wales Hospital site in Randwick and at the Lowy Cancer Research Centre on the Kensington Campus. POWCS has over 20 different research groups and labs and facilities for clinical research will soon be enhanced by the construction of a new clinical research facility, Scientia Clinical Researchwhich will accommodate all phases of clinical trials.
The Translational Cancer Research Network (TCRN) is affiliated with the Faculty’s Prince of Wales Clinical School and has been established to create an innovative and supportive environment for the translation of research findings into real world outcomes, for the benefit of individuals with cancer and their health care providers.
About the role
$83K-$89K plus 9.5% Superannuation and annual leave loading, pro rata
Fixed Term for 9 months

The Translational Cancer Research Network is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Data Manager to work with a range of biological and health datasets as part of the Health Science Alliance (HSA) Biobank. The role of the Data Manager is to combine and harmonise information from various sources to provide ‘research-ready’ datasets for researchers nationally and internationally.
About the successful applicant
To be successful in this role you will:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications with extensive data management experience in a health-related environment
- Sound experience working with complex clinical and health datasets
- Understanding of health concepts including cancer
