About the job

The School of Natural and Built Environments (NBE) is a multi-disciplinary School that focuses on the unique relationships and synergies between natural and built environments.

In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of engaging, relevant and technology-enhanced curricula for identified programs and / or courses. You will be responsible to provide academic counselling, mentoring and advice to students along with quality feedback via approved assessment tasks.

You will also get an opportunity to contribute to research and scholarly activity which results in publications and research funding to enhance the research profile of the School.

Skills and Experience

To be considered, you will have a doctoral qualification in a relevant discipline. You will also have a demonstrated ability to undertake teaching duties in Building Structures (for construction management students) and at least two of the following additional areas:

  • Concrete design and/or materials
  • Earthquake engineering
  • Masonry structures

Having an understanding of and experience in using a range of contemporary teaching methodologies is important for this role. Additionally, a collaborative mindset with a commitment to teaching and research through continual development will ensure your success in this role.
