Assistant Director, Compliance and Internal Reconciliation
This position is responsible for the timely reconciliations of general ledger balances affected by all payroll disbursements of the University. They must post correcting journal entries and report results to the Comptrollers Office and other University leadership when issues arise. Additionally, they are responsible for the compliance of tax filings, audits, and laws.
Education and Experience: Bachelors degree and 5 or more years of experience in payroll accounting and taxation. Qualifications: Experience with Payroll Withholding Tax compliance and requirements Accounting background Experience with business process improvement and change management a plus Must be a self-starter with the ability to take initiative, work independently, use creative problem-solving skills, and achieve results quickly
