We are seeking to appoint two outstanding individuals for Chairs in Strategy and International Business – reference 841

As a professorial appointment you will be expected to contribute to the delivery of the School and Departmental strategy by leading, developing and delivering undergraduate and postgraduate curricula and making a significant contributing to research activities.   Providing academic leadership in the field of strategic management or international business, you will publish high quality research in international journals of high repute, make major contributions to the broader theoretical and/or methodological debates of the discipline, lead bids for and secure external research grants which develop and sustain research support and advance the reputation of the School and University.  

You will

  • Hold a higher Degree (usually PhD) in a related field
  • Have an international reputation for excellence in research and teaching demonstrated through an outstanding publications record
  • Have research interests which complement or strengthen the existing research interests of colleagues within the department.
  • Demonstrate an established record of attracting external funding
  • Possess experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
