Lecturer/Tutor in Psychology
Trinity College Foundation Studies is one-year course that prepares around 2,000 overseas students for undergraduate entry into the University of Melbourne and other leading Australian Universities. The program equips them with the intellectual, linguistic and cultural skills necessary for success at university.
Psychology is an elective component of the program that aims to introduce students to a broad range of psychological theories and principles that attempt to explain human behaviour, as well as the diversity of human experience in different situations and environments. This course will specifically focus on concepts and principles in Forensic Psychology in the August Comprehensive Extended program (ACE).
We are inviting energetic, and vibrant applicants who have a minimum of 2 years demonstrated experience lecturing and teaching in Psychology at high school, Foundation Studies or University level. Applicants must have demonstrated experience in curriculum development, and be able to work independently as well as collaboratively with other Psychology staff to prepare new lectures and tutorials, as well as review existing materials. A working knowledge and experience teaching Forensic Psychology would be highly regarded.
On offer is a fixed term contract position as a Psychology Lecturer and Tutor, working a full-time workload commencing immediately until 9th February 2018, with the possibility of ongoing work after this time. Applicants must have a relevant tertiary qualification, relevant experience and a demonstrated dynamic approach in the classroom with evidence of excellent student feedback. It should also be noted that this is not a research position.
Salary Range: Level B3 to C1 FTE $70,997 to $78,034 plus 10% Superannuation and 17.5% Leave Loading.
