The School of Education is ranked in the top quartile in the UK in terms of the power of its research measured by the volume and international quality of its research activity. As well as being the largest provider in Scotland of professional education for teachers and other childcare practitioners, the Strathclyde School of Education provides a unique multi-professional programme in Autism, which supports and promotes appropriate and effective practice across the range of health, care and education professionals.
This is a key academic appointment which is expected to enhance the reputation of the School of Education in terms of its research, teaching and knowledge exchange. In particular, the School of Education is keen to appoint a Lecturer who can demonstrate research excellence and scholarship in the field of Autism. Applicants will have a good honours degree and a PhD, a Professional Doctorate, or equivalent research/scholarly credentials, in a relevant discipline. Applicants will have a body of published research in high quality publications demonstrating standards of excellence and previous relevant teaching experience at undergraduate and/or postgraduate levels. The successful applicant will also demonstrate a successful track record of providing professional education for practitioners working in the field of autism.
