The Role and Your Responsibilities

Working closely with the College of Design and Social Context, you will drive the creation and delivery of a communications strategy for one of RMIT's most creative Colleges. This will entail developing, implementingand measurement of impactful, multi-media content, and information across the University in line with the overall RMIT strategy.

Working as a true Business Partner, you will develop and maintain outstanding cross functional relationships across the Colleges and Portfolios to directly service leaders and more deeply embed an effective communications strategy that incorporates internal and external activities. This includes coaching and advising senior leaders on best practice communications activities and channels.

You will ensure that all communications are represented in University-wide communication planning and frameworks, and will work closely with the teams responsible for internal and external communication, to ensure alignment and impact.

Skills and Experience Required

To be suitable you will have experience in dealing with business partners at a strategic level, coaching and counselling and influencing leadership thinking in strategic communications. With in-depth knowledge of key audience values to achieve communication goals beyond mere understanding or agreement, such as engagement and active support you will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively select and measure the ideal channel mix. With excellent communication skills and demonstrated passion for delivering creative and impactful communications experiences you encourage a workplace culture of high performance. A degree and a postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline and with significant relevant professional experience at a similar level are essential.
