Post Doctoral Research Associate (Understanding the Sensitivity of Major East Antarctica Outlet Glaciers to Recent and Future Climate Change)

The Department of Geography, Durham University, is seeking to appoint a full-time Grade 7 post-doctoral research assistant (PDRA) for 3 years to work on a NERC-funded project aimed at understanding the sensitivity of major East Antarctica outlet glaciers to recent and future climate change.

The appointee will have expertise in remote sensing of the cryosphere and will work with Professor Chris Stokes (Principal Investigator of the Project) and Dr Stewart Jamieson (Co-Investigator). The other co-investigators on this multi-institution project are Professor Adrian Jenkins (British Antarctic Survey) and Professor Hilmar Gudmundsson (Northumbria University), who will appoint a second PDRA, based at Northumbria, with expertise in numerical modelling.
