The Role and Your Responsibilities
This newly created role is responsible for leading marketing, business development product and proposition innovation across RMIT. Reporting to the Deputy Director, Market Development and Customer Innovation, the key function of the role is to work with the Marketing and College Executive teams to develop and implement an integrated strategy for marketing, business, proposition and product development to support the College and Schools to deliver profile targets, new growth, new market opportunities and increase viability, advocacy and graduate outcomes.
To be suitable for this role you will have proposition innovation experience, be highly motivated and pro-active with a track record in a senior product development and marketing role, preferably in the tertiary education sector. You will also have experience in driving growth, value and advocacy with in multiple business line and markets. You will have strong commercial acumen including the ability to work collaboratively to interpret research data to inform the development of robust product strategies, and a successful track record in leading and implementing complex projects on time and within budget. To be successful for this role you will have strong leadership qualities with demonstrated capacity to initiate and lead service delivery in a challenging and dynamic environment, and lead cultural change with the ability to work autonomously, and to work collaboratively with team members and the broader marketing team to support key objectives. A relevant postgraduate qualification in a relevant field coupled with relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience and proven expertise in the management of significant functional and human resources is essential.
