LCCA is seeking to move its provision to the next level in terms of meeting the knowledge and skills demands of this rapidly changing sector, and is seeking a motivated individual with the vision and enthusiasm to lead the development of innovative provision of courses in Visual Media.
Your leadership skills will be underpinned with an outstanding background in lecturing and experience of developing and managing programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate level. You will work alongside key contacts and consultants who will advise on opportunities and act as a sounding board for new initiatives.
You will ensure that the quality of the teaching in the subject areas is first-rate and be able to show a track record of successfully collaborating with external stakeholders on curriculum design and the delivery of programmes. This will be supported by your relevant research profile, professional achievements and proven expertise in the practical aspects of the subjects and excellent industry connections.
The role involves taking responsibility for the management, strategic direction and performance of the portfolio of Visual Media programmes at LCCA. You would be expected to partake in implementing a clear vision for the future of the department, which commands the support of both academic and professional staff, while on a day-to-day level showing leadership, directing the operations, development and growth of the department and taking charge of its overall well-being.
Flexible working arrangements are available by agreement, as LCCA recognises the need for staff to undertake ongoing professional development and many staff are also sector practitioners.
