Tenure-Track Non-Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Behavioural Sciences

Applications are invited for appointment as Tenure-Track Non-Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Behavioural Sciences of the School of Public Health, to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal and with consideration for tenure before the expiry of a second three-year fixed-term contract.

Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree or its equivalent in psychology and a track record of relevant high-quality impactful research as indicated by publication record and external grants.  Research experience in the area of cognitions related to health, risk and adaptation behaviours; familiarity with neurosciences methods; and a strong background in health/medical psychology are preferred.  The appointee is expected to contribute to the established strengths of the School in developing and advancing research programmes on health-related risk perception and behaviour.  He/She will also play a key role in leading the development of academic scholarship and teaching programmes of the School and in contributing to the enhancement and development of medical and health science courses in the Faculty.  Information about the School can be obtained at 

A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.  Housing benefits will be provided as applicable.
