This key role is responsible for embedding and optimizing the use of the recently implemented SAP Finance, eExpense and P2P systems and processes in relation to the accounts payable and treasury functions. 

Proactive leadership is required in the delivery of the university’s cash flow and payments operations and for meeting stringent service delivery standards that comply with Public Contracts Regulations 2015 and internal service delivery plans. The timely analysis, reporting and forecasting of key metrics and outreach to both internal and external stakeholders is fundamental to the success of the position. 

The successful candidate will have responsibility for optimising returns on investments and endowments in line with the university’s treasury policy, inform decision making in respect of capital investment and provide expertise and advice on investment criteria and market outlook to the executive team. There will be regular liaison with vendors, banks, ratings agency, financial advisors, senior management, internal and external auditors, operations managers and budget holders. 

The position reports to the Head of Financial Services and manages a team of treasury, accounts payable and compliance staff.
