Te Piringa translates as the coming together of people. As one of eight faculties in the University, it has over 900 students and 40 staff. According to the 2015 QS World University Rankings, the Faculty is ranked as being among the top 200 law schools in the world and is now housed in a contemporary, purpose built Law facility.
You will have a proven record of scholarly publications and an active programme of research. Your university level teaching experience and research interests will cover one or more of the following areas: Criminal Law; Commercial Law; Social Justice and/or Legal Systems.
It is essential that you have a LLB or JD degree or equivalent and an LLM, with a PhD preferable. The ability to communicate effectively with students and staff is also essential along with an interest and willingness to contribute to faculty and university administration matters.
Current salary range for Lecturers is NZ$72,654 to $87,500 per year and for Senior Lecturers NZ$90,000 to $118,500 per year, dependent on the qualifications and experience of the successful applicant.
