Principal, Middlebury College-CMRS Oxford Humanities Program
The Middlebury College-CMRS Oxford Humanities Program (M-CMRS) seeks to fill the position of Principal, with work to begin on July 1, 2018.

M-CMRS was initiated in 2014 to expand the educational objectives of the Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Studies (CMRS) Ltd, founded in 1975. M-CMRS is a Study Abroad provider occupying a large facility, St. Michael’s Hall, in the center of the City of Oxford, with dormitory space for up to 38 students, a library, offices, lecture hall, seminar rooms, study and leisure spaces. Students at M-CMRS are recruited from colleges and universities throughout the US, and become associate members of Keble College, Oxford. The unique, 14-week M-CMRS semester program, offered in autumn and spring, combines two tutorials with a seminar and an independent research essay. In addition, M-CMRS offers a summer program in Museum Studies and hosts other events and programs during the summer months.

The M-CMRS program is administered by the Middlebury College UK Trust, a registered UK charity owned by Middlebury College, one of the highest ranked liberal arts colleges in the US. Middlebury has long been recognized as a leader in global education. The network of Middlebury International Programs, of which M-CMRS is a part, includes 16 Schools Abroad at 38 sites around the world.

The M-CMRS program is accredited by the British Accreditation Council and judged with “confidence” and “reliance” by the Quality Assurance Agency. Academic policy is reviewed by an Academic Board consisting of faculty members from colleges and universities in the UK and US. The program is also inspected annually by members of a Faculty Advisory Board of Middlebury College.
