Senior Faculty and Student Support Administrator

The Senior Faculty and Student Support Administrator is responsible for supervising and mentoring one or more Faculty and Student Support Administrators and co-managing the cross-functional team alongside the team’s Senior Instructional Designer. Support faculty and students for the more complex or higher-maintenance online degree programs in the team’s portfolio. Due to the fast pace of the distance education delivery model and the high volume of work each team is responsible for, the Senior Faculty and Student Support Administrator must have a high level of comfort with and strong ability in the area of project management and leadership. Anticipate workload demands, make decisions about and allocating resources for each online session, develop procedures and processes for managing the workload of the team, and ensure the success of each online program in the team’s portfolio. Play a key role in helping the Office of Distance Education effectively manage growth in the support area. Lead the program management of the team’s portfolio, provides expert guidance and recommendations to faculty to maximize the success of BU’s online courses and programs, and collaborates with academic departments to organize the delivery of the academic programs online.
B.A./B.S., Master's degree preferred. Professionalism, negotiation and problem-solving skills, strong organizational, student services and communication skills, the ability to multi-task, and high attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be team oriented and use personal initiative to continually improve students’ online experience, program satisfaction, and retention. Three to five years of experience.
