The Humanities and Social Science Graduate School has over 600 students pursuing taught Masters and doctoral research degrees. The School of History is an innovative leader in a wide range of historical fields, and is renowned for its dynamic and supportive research environment.

The School is seeking to appoint a Lecturer in English History 1500-1700 who will be expected to contribute to the full range of the School’s teaching from undergraduate to doctoral level, and to contribute to the School’s research culture and REF submissions. The successful candidate will have a PhD or equivalent experience, a strong background in early modern English history and experience of undergraduate teaching.

The post is full time. The starting salary will be in the range £40,865 - £43,152 per annum inclusive of London Allowance. Benefits include 30 days annual leave, defined benefit pension scheme and interest-free season ticket loan.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate their eligibility to work in the UK in accordance with the Immigration, Asylum and Nationality Act 2006. Where required this may include entry clearance or continued leave to remain under the Points Based Immigration Scheme.
