Within the Faculty of Human Sciences, the Research Office (RO) team works with staff to build and strengthen research capability in the Faculty. The team coordinates and provides advice on internal and external funding opportunities, reviews applications and implements University-wide research strategies, policies and activities.
An exciting opportunity exists for a full-time Faculty Research Administrative Assistant to join the Faculty’s RO team for a fixed-term period until May 2018. In this position, you will play a key role in providing administrative and research support to the Faculty Research Office and researchers in the Faculty of Human Sciences.
To be considered for this position, you must submit a cover letter (no more than 2 pages) which addresses the criteria below and upload this along with your resume, as part of the application process:
- An understanding of research grants, funding bodies and the grant application process in the Higher Education environment or other large organisations
- Demonstrated initiative in identifying and recommending administrative process improvement
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders
- Advanced computer and Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel)
- Demonstrated capacity to prepare accurate and effective documentation including reports, minutes, internal communications and promotional material
- Proven ability to manage multiple competing tasks within strict deadlines
- Experience updating website content

Salary Package: From $80,231 to $88,561 p.a. (Level 6), plus 9.5% employer's superannuation and annual leave loading
