The School of Biological, Earth and Environmental Sciences (BEES) examines the natural environment, including life, from the core of the Earth to its upper atmosphere, deep in time through to the present and modelling towards the future.

The School of Biotechnology and Biomolecular Sciences (BABS) is one of the largest and most prestigious schools of scientific research and teaching in Australia. The biomolecular sciences encompass the disciplines of chemistry, biochemistry, molecular biology and cell biology, and include the specialist areas of genetics, genomics, bioinformatics, proteomics and chemical biology.

About the role 

  • $64,538 – $68,080 plus (9.5% superannuation and leave loading)
  • Fixed term – 12 months
  • Full-time (35 hours per week)

We are seeking office administrative assistance for the shared BEES/BABS administrative office. The role is required to carry out a wide range of tasks and duties to facilitate administrative efficiency across both Schools.

About the successful applicant

To be successful in this role you will have previous experience that aligns with this role, preferably in maintaining and running an administrative office. You will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and pro-active, and able to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines. You will possess initiative, excellent organisational and communication skills and, importantly, a good sense of humour to enable you to build internal and external relationships while delivering outstanding service to staff and students.
