Director of the Institute of Sport and Human Science and Faculty Associate Dean

The Faculty of Education Health and Wellbeing is seeking to appoint a new Director of the Institute of Sport and Human Sciences to lead and support Sport and Psychology to achieve recognition as leading centres of excellence regionally, nationally and internationally.  The appointee will lead the development and enhancement of high quality sports and psychology related academic programmes and activities, contribute to the generation of external income and support sport engagement across the University.

The successful candidate will have a postgraduate degree and a track record of personal research and or enterprise. S/he will have significant experience of higher education leadership and management, including academic development, building external relations, new business and external income. A good understanding of sports related organisations and sources of external funding is essential.
