Museum Operations Coordinator
MOD. at the University of South Australia will be Australia’s leading future-focused museum, provoking new ideas at the intersection of science, art and innovation. MOD. aims to inspire young adults aged 15+ about science and technology with dynamic, changing exhibition programs, showcasing how research shapes our understanding of the world to inform future possibilities. MOD. will open its doors in the new UniSA Health Innovation Building in mid-2018.
About the job
An exciting opportunity exists for an Operations Coordinator to lead the day-to-day operations of MOD. The Operations Coordinator will enjoy engaging with the public as well as working with a team of smart and talented people, working closely with internal services and external partners.
As the key contact point for the venue, visitor experience will be of upmost importance. You will be responsible for management of commercial functions including the shop, and have oversight of compliance including financial processes, risk and safety to ensure the ongoing operations of MOD.
Skills and Experience
You will have substantial experience in providing commercial and financial management solutions within a customer-focussed business operation. Your outstanding communication and collaboration skills are evidenced by established networks with a diverse range of people. You are an experienced problem-solver with attention to detail, and you will be able to hit the ground running and deliver results quickly, inspiring confidence with your capability to manage a variety of services.
