Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Learning and Teaching

In line with these key institutional aims SFU now seeks to appoint a Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Learning and Teaching (AVPLT) who will be responsible for advancing innovation and excellence in learning and teaching across the University, and for leading the coordination and implementation of support offered to students, faculty, staff and communities to deliver diverse and flexible learning and teaching environments.

Reporting to the Vice-President, Academic and Provost, this exciting new position and portfolio requires close collaboration with senior leadership across campus, especially the Deans, the Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Academic, and the Vice-Provost and Associate Vice-President, Students and International. The position will oversee a number of centres, institutes and other units with responsibilities for advancing teaching and learning, delivery of flexible and transformative education, support for academic programming, and curricular and co-curricular initiatives.
