Research Associate on Construction and Building Materials (Part Time)

An exciting opportunity exists as a Research Associate (RA) on an ARC project on development of novel and green construction and building material in the School of Engineering and Information Technology (SEIT), UNSW Canberra. Magnesium Oxychloride Cement (MOC) is a green construction material which is different from the conventional Portland cement. The project will develop a novel design of MOC reinforced with short fibres aiming for enhanced water absorption, corrosion resistance and mechanical behaviour. The Research Associate will contribute to the development of research results and their publication in international journals, and assist with sessional teaching activities, as required.
About the Role:
- Level: Academic Level A $72,509 - $96,677 (pro-rata) + Super
- Term: Fixed Term 24 months
- Part time: 23 Hours per week (0.66 Full Time Equivalent)
