Through its local and international partnerships, the School of Medicine seeks to improve the health of urban, rural and remote communities through leadership and collaboration.
In consultation with the Dean and Head of School Medicine, the Deputy Head of School - Sunshine Coast, will be responsible for the development of the medical program on the Sunshine Coast. In 2019 the Griffith School of Medicine will be offering Year 1 of the graduate entry program whilst Year 3 students will be on placement in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. All 4 yrs of the postgraduate MD Program will be offered at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute in 2020.
This position leads and coordinates the school's educational and research missions in relation to medical education at the Sunshine Coast site. It oversees the implementation of and is responsible for the educational quality of learning, teaching, and assessment activities across the four years of the Doctor of Medicine (MD).
As a senior academic in the School of Medicine, you will contribute to the broader mission of the School through scholarly and service activities as negotiated with the Head of School and Dean of Medicine. You will have extensive experience in leadership of the development and implementation of high-quality curriculum, learning and teaching, and assessment activities in higher education settings, including experience in the education of medical students.
At Professor, Level E, a salary of $172,326 plus a superannuation contribution of 17% (+ clinical loading if appropriate).
At Associate Professor, Level D, a salary of $133,778 - $147,383 plus a superannuation contribution of 17% (+ clinical loading if appropriate).
