The appointee will be responsible to teach undergraduate courses in real estate, land use planning and Geomatics. She/he will also be expected to help and contribute towards the development of courses for presentation in distance and flexible learning. The appointee will be expected to make contributions to all activities of the School including preparing and delivering lectures, seminars, tutorials and online teaching activities, assessing students’ work and undertaking research and consultancy in the Land Management discipline.
The Person We Seek
To be considered for this position, applicants must have:
- A PhD in Land Management, Land Use Planning or Geomatics, relevant teaching experience at secondary and/or tertiary levels and a good research and publications record
- OR in exceptional cases candidates with relevant Masters Qualifications & QoR threshold of meeting performance expectation of a Lecturer AND some years of relevant Tertiary Teaching experience and Postgraduate Certificate in Tertiary Teaching (PGCTT) or equivalent.
- Applicants must be citizens of the region.
Preference will be given to applicants with:
Ability to deal effectively with cultural diversity and the ability to interact with the South Pacific community.
The position is available for a term of 5 years and may be renewed by mutual agreement.
Salary Range: Assistant Lecturer FJ $54,195 to FJ $65,034 per annum
