Job Description 

The Computational Analyst will be primarily responsible for supporting the design, development, and execution of analyses of existing data sets.                                                                                      

Essential Functions:

40% Process data using linux                           

30% Analyze data using R or python                     

30% Quality control data and reporting

Project: Building a single cell processing and normalization pipeline and performing data analysis

We have implemented a custom single cell RNA sequencing assay, CEL-seq. In order to speed up processing of data from this protocol, Yusuke Koga will develop an R package that performs demultiplexing, unique molecular index correction, and normalization. We are also generating single cell RNA seq data for a variety of clinical samples including lung cancers. This project will involve analyzing data from these cohorts after it has been processed by the pipeline.

Hours: 40 hours a week

This is a grant funded position.

Required Skills

1-3 years of experience and Bachelor's degree required.

Additional Requirements: Coding in R, python and Linux.
