Senior Lecturer in Construction Law
Built Environment and Engineering
Leeds Beckett University

The School of Built Environment and Engineering is looking to recruit a high calibre Senior Lecturer in Construction Law who will be required to contribute to the delivery and continued development of a strong portfolio of undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Construction law, procurement and contracts. The post holders will be expected to make a significant contribution to the academic support of student year groups through delivery of modules at all levels, and engaging in the development of high profile research and enterprise relationships / projects.

The successful candidates will be lecturers or practitioners who can demonstrate a commitment to high-quality teaching and subject leadership in construction law and contracts including JCT, NEC, FIDIC, etc.  and contribute to other built environment subject areas at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The ability to offer expertise in developing and delivering project based modules is also desirable.

We welcome applicants with a relevant PhD, or other higher degrees. Successful candidates would be expected embark on further research either on a taught course or PhD, (if not already held). Applications are also invited from those with a background in professional practice who can demonstrate extensive knowledge in the areas described, and/or an aptitude for teaching and research capability. Corporate membership, or eligibility for corporate membership, of relevant professional bodies is desirable
