About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Library Assistant to join our growing organisation. Within this role you will support the effective management of Library & Learning Resources within GSM London; which includes both physical and online resources. You will work within a small team of Library Assistants and be responsible for providing enquiries desk services and basic IT support within the Library at Greenford, ensuring a productive study environment and contributing to the delivery of services which meet the needs of students and staff across the organisation.

To be successful, you will need to be degree qualified in a relevant subject discipline or possess equivalent experience, and demonstrate experience within a similar role in an academic or specialised library service. You will possess superior customer service and communication skills, initiative and have the ability to be planned and organised in a busy environment.  In addition you will have experience in the use of library management systems and MS office applications. Your knowledge of online business and legal information resources will be highly regarded.

Please note: Hours of work will be Monday to Friday, on a rota basis. Evening and occasional weekend working will be required.
