CFCR and Department of Geography and Environmental Management are keen to welcome an individual who has their own vision, and wishes to contribute to shaping not only their own professorial position but the Centre itself.

We expect the appointed individual to make a leading contribution to our submission to the next Research Excellence Framework exercise in 2020/21. As the successful applicant, you will be able to demonstrate a strong track record and ongoing achievement of: successful bidding for external research funding; producing high quality contributions to knowledge in terms of your published work; and leading research development initiatives.

CFCR is investing in the development of this post and the appointee will be provided with significant internal research time allowance in the first instance to help ensure that they establish their research leadership, and add to their portfolio of externally funded research activity as soon as possible within the Centre. CFCR has been highly successful in its period of formation and early growth at UWE with a research portfolio underpinned by substantial RCUK funding (from AHRC, EPSRC, ESRC and NERC).
