The Role and Your Responsibilities

The higher research degree administration officer is responsible for providing high quality administrative support to candidates undertaking research programs leading to award of a Masters or PhD by research.

This position assists the HDR administration co-ordinator in the overall coordination of the research program processes such as admission to candidature, progress reporting, submission and completions, and handling general queries from prospective and current students.

The incumbent will work closely with the HDR co-ordinator and School of Graduate Research (SGR) staff to provide administrative support relating to research program and associated processes to academic supervisors and research students.

Skills & Experience Required

To be considered for this opportunity you will have demonstrated experience in research administration within a tertiary environment with particular knowledge of research candidature management. You will show commitment to excellent customer service, be highly organised with strong attention to detail and have the ability to use initiative, manage competing deadlines and varying workloads and respond to changing priorities.
