About the job
You will provide high-level confidential administrative, finance and project support to the Centre for Population Health Research (CPHR) to support the achievement of research outcomes, and ensure the efficient operation of the group. This will include monitoring grant applications, tracking conferences, and contributing to the preparation and distribution of reports among other duties.
In your role, you will act as the first point of contact for CPHR and use your sound judgement to independently assess, prioritise and appropriately direct responses and actions to internal and external queries. You will also provide Executive Officer support for internal/external research project activities or collaborations. You will report directly to the Team Leader: Academic Services, however you will also take day to day direction from the Centre Director: Population Health Research.
Skills and Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have post-secondary qualifications in a relevant discipline with previous exposure to financial administration, or demonstrated skills, knowledge and experience in an administrative role including financial support. Your excellent interpersonal and communication skills will allow you to deliver a quality customer service internally as well as externally.
Demonstrated organisational skills with a high level of attention to detail and proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite along with the Internet will definitely be a factor to be considered in this role. A commitment to continuous improvement of work procedures as well as self-development would be desirable.
