As an Extension Coordinator, your role will support the Program Leader in coordinating the development and delivery of extension and engagement activities, in addition to promoting and enhancing the CCDMs image and reputation through media and events related activities.
This outstanding opportunity will allow you to be responsible for the development and delivery of extension materials and processes, stakeholder engagement, media liaison, a range of writing tasks and the coordination of high-profile activities and events that assist the CCDM and other areas within Curtin.
To be successful you will have a tertiary qualification in Agricultural Science / Agribusiness or equivalent with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant work experience and/or education/training.
Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement effective Agricultural Extension strategies, with a demonstrated understanding of Adult Learning, coupled with an understanding of the operations and priorities of both print and electronic media is paramount to your success in this position.
The CCDM is a national research centre co-supported by Curtin University and the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC). Launched in 2014, the centre’s major aim is to reduce the economic impact of crop disease for Australian growers.
The salary ranges presented are those which are contained within the University's Enterprise Agreements; as are the employee benefits which include employer superannuation contribution at the rate of the current Government Superannuation Guarantee amount up to 17 percent, study assistance, a comprehensive salary packaging and wellness programs and flexible and family friendly work practices.
