Job description

We are a successful, friendly, small University, recognised for our focus on student satisfaction, retention and achievement.  We offer an excellent student learning experience and are located in a beautiful region of the South Coast of England.  The Head of Quality and Standards is a key new post working closely with the Director of Quality and Standards. This is an excellent career progression opportunity for an experienced quality management professional who aspires to be a future Director in a University environment.

This exciting key position involves the quality management of taught provision within the University.  You will be able to negotiate successful working relationships with staff and students as well as external partners.  It is essential that you have knowledge, understanding and experience of the Quality Code to take forward policies and processes around approval, monitoring and review.

It is essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills and have the skill to communicate effectively with all stakeholders.  A full understanding of sector expectations regarding academic standards and quality assurance, specifically the requirements of the Framework for Higher Education Qualifications and Chapter B10 of the UK Quality Code: Managing Higher Education are also essential.
