The School of Engineering and Advanced Technology (SEAT) has over 50 years contributed to the development of Aotearoa New Zealand and its international community. The School is accredited by a wide range of national and international organisations for the quality of its teaching and research. We are ranked by QS in the top 200 in Chemical Engineering and ranked in the top 300 for Engineering and Technology by THE World University Rankings 2018. An integral part of SEAT is our department of the Built Environment and Construction (BEC). The Pacific Association of Quantity Surveyors (PAQS), the NZ Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NZIQS) and the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) accredit BEC's programmes.

This full-time permanent position is based at the University's Auckland campus, in Albany.

To be successful in appointment, you will have:

  • a post graduate qualification, ideally a PhD, and related discipline such as Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Construction Management or Engineering
  • industry experience in Construction Planning and Scheduling
  • teaching and research expertise and a record of accomplishment of research outputs
  • a passion for education and research in Construction Construction Management.

Appointment will be on the Lecturer/Senior Lecturer or Associate Professor Scale at a level commensurate with qualifications and experience.
