Lecturer/Associate Lecturer in Occupational Therapy
- Two year fixed term, full time position or substantial fractional appointment
- Based in Geraldton with periodic regional travel
- Level A: $67,352 to $91,397 or Level B: $96,210 to $114,250 (plus 17% Superannuation)
- Level of appointment will be dependent on qualifications and experience

About WACRH: funded through the Commonwealth Department of Health and part of a national network of university centres across Australia, the Western Australian Centre for Rural Health (WACRH) strives for excellence in rural health and aims to improve remote and Aboriginal health through research, education, student support and community development activities. WACRH’s work covers a large and varied part of the state and the Centre enjoys excellent relationships with health care providers and communities. The collegial, multidisciplinary team of academics and support staff implement a dynamic program addressing key rural, remote and Aboriginal health issues. The appointee will be a valuable member of this team providing clinical supervision to students undertaking rural & remote clinical placements in varied settings along with inter-professional support and education delivery across the wider WACRH program.
About the opportunity: WACRH has a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, multi-disciplinary team working to improve the health of rural, remote and Aboriginal people in Northern Western Australia. You will participate in the development of innovative professional practice programs for students and provide clinical supervision and evaluation to undergraduate, graduate entry, and postgraduate students (including support for project based placements). You will also liaise with key stakeholders and contribute to the evaluation of the student placement programs and their impact on student work readiness. About you: you will be an academic keen to live in or already living in Geraldton or surrounds. Preferably you will have a postgraduate qualification or industry experience in a role that supports health professional education, public health or research/evaluation. Registration and experience in Occupational Therapy is essential.
