Applications are invited for the above post based in the University’s Research and Innovation (R&I) Department at the Jubilee Campus, Nottingham. The University of Nottingham is a research-driven institution with a leading international profile. R&I Research Operations provide support, advice and guidance to the University’s research community. It also facilitates interaction between academics, research sponsors, and with business, regional and wider communities.

The Assistant Manager - Post Award (AM-PA) acts as a first line manager to the Post Award team and deputy to the Research Finance Manager (RFM).  The three main purposes of the role are to act as immediate line manager of the Post Award team (the Research Project Co-ordinators) providing advice and guidance on complex aspects of research projects and procedures.  Second, the AM-PA assists with the quality assurance checking of new research projects, liaising with staff on any which do not pass the check, and distributing information and opening codes on the University’s financial system, Agresso.  Thirdly, the AM-PA is responsible for the production and maintenance of procedures and information relating to post award administration of research projects.

Candidates should have experience of financial and project management. 
Candidates should have AAT or highly relevant degree equivalent and broad vocational experience.

The role reports to the Research Finance Manager.

The post is permanent, full-time.
